Here we are eating breakfast at our Inn in the old part of Pingyao. Boiled eggs and lots of pickled vegetables.
Here’s the rest of the Inn’s courtyard from my perspective where I was sitting in the picture above. Beautiful, isn’t it?
More of the courtyard. Obviously, I got up from the bench to get these.
Still in the old part of the city…a few hundred meters away from our Inn. Our second costumed monkey sighting! We passed by this guy and his little performer later in the afternoon and that poor monkey was so tired he fell asleep upright on his pillow. That’s we I noticed he was wearing red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. It was a little bit funny and a lot bit sad.
Pete again! (He’s hard to see, but if you peer through that little hole in the rock…)
Ugh…Pete again. See him at the top of that building?
The streets of the Old City at night.
Here’s Pete in the luxurious bed we shared that reached wall-to-wall. Both Pete and I tend to sleep on diagonals and we measure 12′ in combined length, but we never managed to make contact. This bed was serious.
