Here are photos from around Beijing that don’t fit in the other posts.
Meat hanging in a window. Very poetic, I know.
This is the street along which the Lama Temple stands. (I only took a few pictures of the Lama Temple and none of them were very good, so I didn’t write a post about it.) The bags are full of gold wrappers.
Pete wanted a picture with this strange little vehicle. It’s basically a motor bike with heavy armor. It’s very popular in Beijing at the moment.
A little Buddha I found on a shelf somewhere.
Birds in cages on the street.
We’re getting close to the Forbidden City.
A couple of street shots in the hutong where our hostel was located.
This sign was posted in the outdoor area of our hostel. Everyone enjoys a little bit of humor on a smoke break.
The following are shots of the common area of our hostel. Very beautiful.
(The last three my mom took.)
Our favorite astronomer! Check out the ‘stache on this guy!
We saw this sign in the restroom of our favorite restaurant in Beijing. “No smoking, no standing on the toilet, no pooping.” It’s so tiny that the last one is justified.
Me and my brother, awww.
